ORAL HEALTH IN DOGS AND CATS
How about taking advantage of the fact that this quarantine made us to be more at home and closer to our pets, to take care of their oral hygiene a little more?

This practice benefits not only health, but it´s also a form of affection. A moment of affection between you and your pet. One way to introduce this practice into your pet's routine is to always offer a treat that it can associate with the time of tooth brushing.

For beginners, a good option is the products Good Care Haliclean. It´s a gel based on sodium hexametaphosphate, green tea and thymol, indicated for cleaning the teeth, gums and tongue of dogs and cats. Its gel format facilitates the application. Just put a small amount on a finger brush or gauze and spread the product over the entire tooth surface and gums. It has a light mint scent and pets love it!

When the pet gets more used to it, you can use Good Care Toothpaste. Good Care Toothpaste is also based on sodium hexametaphosphate but it needs brushing. With the help of a brush or finger brush, specifically for pets, apply a small amount of the product and make circular movements on the teeth and gums. This will help you maintain and prevent tartar formation, as well as improve your dog or cat´s good breath. The Toothpaste has a tutti-frutti aroma, and it´s well accepted by dogs and cats.

But if your bets friend does not allow handling to its mouth, another option to help improve good breath and prevent tartar is Good Care Good Breath. It´s a liquid based on sodium hexametaphosphate and xylitol that should be mixed daily with the pet's drinking water, thus dispensing with manipulation in the animal's mouth. The product has a mild aroma and does not alter the palatability of the water, thus allowing them to continue drinking water normally and maintaining the oral health. This product should be used continuously, and offered to the pet every day.

Remember that in conjunction with these practices, the visit to the veterinarian must be carried out periodically.
