MEDICINES FOR ANIMAL USE MUST NOT BE ADMINISTERED TO HUMANS!
After the circulation of fake news in WhatsApp groups and other social media platforms, Laboratório Mundo Animal informs the population that the PET IMUNE V11 vaccine (or any other vaccine intended for pets) is intended for application in dogs with the aim of preventing viral diseases such as Distemper, Infectious Hepatitis (caused by Adenovirus type 1), intestinal diseases (Parvovirus and Coronavirose) and respiratory diseases (Parainfluenza and Adenovirus). In addition to these viral diseases, the vaccine also prevents Leptospirosis.
Therefore, they CANNOT be used in humans to prevent the new Coronavirus! This is because the PET IMUNE V11 vaccine offers protection to the type of coronavirus that specifically targets dogs, called *CCoV (Canine Coronavirus)*, which presents gastrointestinal signs of diarrhea and vomiting. Therefore, it does not present any protection to Covid-19. It is important to note that the type of the virus that is spreading in humans is different from the strain used in this vaccine for animal use, which is why it is called New Coronavirus, which shows signs of alterations in the respiratory system.
We have a duty to combat the spread of false and misleading information. None of the products from Laboratório Mundo Animal should be used for treatment or administered to human beings. The use of animal health products on a human being can lead to serious adverse effects.
